It’s been a long week.

Heating in my studio stopped working so I had to temporarily move to my dining room. Which is quite wonderful as the entire room just like my art was created inspired by Einstein’s motto Everything Is Vibration, We Live In The Sea Of Energy, Where Everything Is Connected To Everything Else”.

Finishing a commissioned artwork. Its Working title is “An Ocean Of Light”. Soon to be send off to be framed in an illuminated frame. Cannot wait…. Mostly to make the collector – hopefully thrilled. 🍀

“Breathe: Joy”

Works Like this take quite a bit time to make.

Not because they need so much (that too of course because of the technique I have developed of slowly and mindfully applying the circular shapes one by one ) but mostly because the impact each element has on the overall relation ship to the entire “family”.

Like an intimate gathering. Unwisely chosen friend can change the entire dynamic of the group. Not necessarily for better. But wisely chosen can bring an immense richness.

Just like Einstein said. “Everything is connected to everything else”

Listening to BBC radio programme about Poland’s current affairs: it’s democracy, it’s fast economy growth made my heart jump with a bit of pride but not only. As I listened the familiar unsettled feeling slowly came over me.

Although I emigrated from Poland over 20 years ago, listening to this programme stroke a cord. Especially now, since I have decided to address openly some societal issues in my recent exhibition.

What makes my body feel a tinge of nervousness was a bit about a woman who was telling story of taking an abortion pill obtained abroad, which is legal. The Woman went to see her female GP who then denounced her to the Police. And the horror this poor woman went through afterwards.

There is touch on religion, and how obsessed some are with it, and how very influential Church was while previous government was residing. And the need to persecute others.

I love travelling and reading. I have found this kind of tensions all around the world.

I know the repercussions of growing up never feeling safe. When a child grows up in a country where grandparents and parents have been traumatised they pass on those fears and believes on.

My recent body of work addresses some of the religious aspects, and the aspects of not feeling safe caused by the messages we absorb growing up: At home. At school. In public. As children. As Women, Men. As Humans.

THE BIG WOMAN: AWAKENING Is a raw and powerful creative expression of an unfurling truth via expressive expansion within physical space, without hesitation, limits or societal masks. Women in particular have been made small by social pressures, indoctrination and compression. Slowly becoming less true to themselves as puberty and adulthood brings further threats to a sense of self, the need for safety and acceptance overriding their inner truths and ability to shine freely. THE BIG WOMAN: AWAKENING is a challenge to all, throw away those masks, that initially shield but then constrict; be true to yourself, regardless of age, race, sexuality, sex or gender.

Be true to yourself, and be a light house for future generations to be free to be themselves.
